So, I’m liking Next Top Model, I know it started last week, but I made the decision to wait a week before I posted, since the “chat on” feature was to start this week. Anyway, as it turns out, Austar subscribers don’t get that (yeah.. :| what a surprise) So now I’m pissed. And the post that was meant to be about my opinion on the show is now going to be a rant, have fun:
I’m sick of this crap, I’m sick of them advertising all the great things we can do, and then not ACTUALLY being able to do them because i’m with Austar, not Foxtel. And it’s not like we chose to be with a crappy service for cheap, we are with Austar because that’s the only option we get, and it’s the only option for a lot of people because of that stupid deal Austar and Foxtel have about not being all up in each other’s business. I cannot understand why Austar subscribers can’t get all the cool stuff Foxtel subscribers do – remember when i was like “I think that we should have this cool feature” – well I was talking to a friend who is in a Foxtel area, and apparantly they’ve had that for ages, and it’s just the poor people with Austar who are missing out.
They get SkyNewsLocal, they get SkyNews that actually looks pretty and you can vote on stuff, they get those cool ads that you can redbutton on, they get to vote for stuff like the disney movies (i think that’s a thing… there’s something LIKE that), they get remind me’s in their ads, they get all sorts of cool stuff and Austar is missing out.
It makes zero sense to me. And they make out like we are going to get to do something cool but then don’t even bother telling you that Austar doesn’t get it, they have the tiniest little thing down the bottom maybe (it was on so quick i didn’t get a chance to read it tonight) and its absolutely ridiculous. I’m gettin angry, I’m gettin angry now.

Anyway, back on track, I’m liking Next Top Model, I never had any little bit of like for the American version, but the Australian one is amazing. I love it. There was about 100 hilarious quotes from it, and although it has it’s “this is a serious competition” moments, it also has a whole heap of “yay lighthearted fun” as well, which makes it actually fun to watch.
Also, I read in the Sunday Mail tv guide this week that apparently the contestants are not being bitches like is usually the case and that the show is not about the bitching anymore, and I’m liking it, so…. yeah, good times.
Pretty sure I’m going to religiously watch this for the however many weeks it has left, I’m absolutely lovin it.
